A Little Piggy and a 2 year old

Well I know this is a little late... but I needed to catch up on my blog. Better late than never huh? And not too late. Just a little over a week old on the Halloween Pics. But Kaytlin was a little piggy and she was adorable. I figured I better pick one more year because she'll definitely have an opinion next year. Some princess I'm sure. That's what all the other little 3 year old girls were. But we went to the church's Fall Harvest and played games, rode on a hay ride, saw a fire truck and ate hot dogs. It was alot of fun. Kaytlin was actually into it all this year and she had fun with her friends Case and Mason too (and we saw Murphy too). Well this past Friday... my little baby turned 2!!!! She's not so little anymore! I can't believe how big she has gotten! She is saying almost everything, making sentences, and definitely has the 2 year old attitude. haha. We are working on getting rid of the paci. Trying to just stick to nap and bedtime right now. Then hope to take it away all together soon. I'm trying Susan!!! We also welcomed a new friend into our house... THE SPANKING SPOON!!! Alot of my friends use it and say it works soooo well. So far it's helped a ton. We'll see if this continues. Our house only has a couple more weeks until it's done hopefully. Will post some pics when it gets a little closer. We are loving it all. Here are a few pictures from Halloween and Kaytlin's actual birthday. Her party is Saturday so we'll have more pictures to come of that.

Her present from Mommy and Daddy! The tag says Princess and oh how it is true!

K with her balloons we got her.

Blowing out the candle! Daddy, Mommy and K had a little celebration on our own.
The big cake will be this weekend!

Passed out

This picture says it all. The other day before nap... Kaytlin wanted to watch Elmo before she took her nap so I said okay, but just for a few minutes. So I walked into my room for a couple of minutes and looked down the hall and couldn't see her so I walked in the playroom and this is what I found. Hilarious. She was conked out in the chair after maybe 5 minutes of watching Elmo. So cute that I had to post. More so for the grandparents.

Class of 1999

So I'm actually on time for posting something this time. My reunion was really fun. It was so good to see everyone. Everyone pretty much looked the same. Friday night we had a Meet and Greet at the High School before the football game. Then we took Kaytlin to the game. (which we won!) Then Saturday we had a get together at Kids Towne. Everyone brought their kiddos and it was fun for them to all play together. Saturday night was our big event. We had great food and music from when we were in high school. All in all it was a ton of fun! I'm sure our 20th will be fun too... can't wait to see everyone then!

Bunch of girls from our class!

Summer Fun and Slacker

Well once again I know I haven't posted in a while. It's hard to find time to sit down and post since I'm not very good at it and it take me a little while. But we've had a fun summer, but hopefully we'll be getting back into more of a schedule now. We went to Ross Bridge a few weeks ago with our friends The Thomases. It was so much fun and we weren't ready to leave. Kaytlin had so much fun with her "boyfriend" Case. We played at the pool and around the hotel. We had some good food too of course. Last week too we went to the zoo with some girls from church and all of their kiddos! It was alot of fun and we'll have to go again soon... hopefully it will be a little cooler next time. This weekend is my 10 year High School reunion so that should be alot of fun. I can't wait to see everyone that is coming. I'll post some pictures from that after the weekend... I promise. Now off to get dinner ready!! Here are some pictures from our trip to Ross Bridge and from our zoo trip!

The Kelly's

Big prayer request here!! Please pray for our friends Scott and Angie Kelly and their children Holt and Blaire. Holt and Blaire were attacked by a dog at someone else's house yesterday afternoon. Blaire has had stitches and was released from the hospital tonight, but she will be staying there since Holt will be there. Holt was attacked worse. He has had two surgeries and has some nerve damage in his face, but should get some or most of the feeling back. They do have a long road of recovery ahead of them so please keep them in your prayers over the weeks to come. I know they would truly appreciate it!

Catching Up

Our life has been extremely crazy this summer. Probably part of the reason I haven't posted in over a month. We are in the process of building still. Hopefully I can add some pictures of that soon too. They are almost done framing and hope to be bricking it in a couple of weeks. Our goal is to be in by Thanksgiving so we're keeping our fingers crossed. Kaytlin is keeping us busy as well. She is 20 months old now and into everything. She is such a girly girl. She loves shoes as you will see below. She walks all over the house in whoever's shoes she can find. She loves makeup and lotion and everything girly. If you are putting it on... then she wants some too. She is talking up a storm too. Saying so many things now that I can't list them anymore. She will try and say everything we do. Which is hilarious when it comes out of her mouth, but we really have to watch what we say now too. Just today I said something was crazy and of course she was like "Cwazy". So cute, but I better watch it or she'll be calling people crazy. So we are having a great summer which is now almost over. We've been swimming and to the zoo and playing with friends and trying to stay cool which is hard to do these days. Here are a few random pictures from the summer.

Kaytlin in her Strawberry Shortcake crown that came with
her DVD. She's loving Strawberry Shortcake right now. So girly.

Here she is with my Granny. Granny was asleep at
this point, but Kaytlin was brushing her hair. So cute.
Granny has Alzheimers and for the most part doesn't know
who we are, but Kaytlin lights up her day when we go. So we try
to go often. We have more pictures from Granny's birthday that
I will post soon.

Here she is in the shoes like I was telling you... She loves it
and I think she's just adorable in this pic... don't you?

Here she is with her "boyfriend" Case. Drew says she can't have
a boyfriend yet. haha. But me and Jerrie Ann say they are.
This is after a morning of playing in the rain. They do love playing
together though. Such a cute pair!!!

Destin 2009

Well our trip to Destin was back at the end of June, but I'm just now posting about it. I've been procastinating about putting our pictures all on the computer. Just haven't had a long time to sit down and do it. But back to Destin... we had such a great time. This year Kaytlin was so much more into it. She wasn't afraid of the water very much. She loved to go stand where it would wash over her feet and that was about all. We did take her out in the water some too and she liked that too. We were able to stay a whole week this year which was wonderful because we didn't feel like we had to stay at the beach all day every day. By the end of the week Kaytlin was really learning that she could play with the sand and have fun. haha. She did however take naps I think every day but one down on the beach. I'm talking like hour or hour and a half naps. It was so wonderful. My parents came and Drew's mom came and so did my brother and Mitzi. So we had a full crew at some parts of the week. We ate way too much food and had alot of fun. I know next year will be even more fun, and we're already looking forward to it. Here are just a few pictures from our vacation... I am trying to figure out how to do a photo slideshow. Can anyone help me???? I'm tired of only posting a few pictures at at time. If you know how will you leave me a comment and tell me. I would really appreciate it. Enjoy the pics!!

Our friends Daniel, Abbey and Marianna were down
there too for the convention so we hung out with them some
too. This night we ate at Goatfeathers

Here is how Kaytlin took her naps every day!! Sweet girl!!

Five Years

Well, tomorrow... June 5 is our 5 year anniversary. I can't believe it's been 5 years already. They have flown by for sure. We are heading to New Orleans for the weekend and Kaytlin is staying with my parents. This will be my first time leaving her overnight. I know that's ridiculous because she's 19 months old, but I just haven't really had much reason to. So my parents will be keeping her and they will do great, but I'm nervous about leaving her. I'm sure I'll cry, but mom says I will get over it quickly when I'm gone. :) We've had VBS all week this week so I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend with Drew with just the two of us, but I'm sure I will be ready to see my little punkin by Sunday for sure. I will hopefully take some pictures of our weekend and post when I get back.

March for Babies 2009--- Marching for Magdalena!!!

Saturday was the 2009 March for Babies with the March of Dimes. We walked for "Magdalena's Feet". We had such a great time walking and so glad it went to such a wonderful cause. The weather turned out to be gorgeous and the entire event was so well orgnazied. Julie and Noah, y'all did such a wonderful job in getting the team together and really honoring Magdalena in such an awesome way. We can't wait to walk again next year!!!

SOLD! and springtime

WELL... from the title you can tell that we sold our house!!! We can't believe it. It has been such a God thing for sure. We are excited about moving, although I'm being a little sentimental about leaving our first house. But we will start building hopefully by the first of May if everything goes smoothly. We have about 3 and a half weeks to pack before we close. QUICK I know. But we have been so blessed and are so excited about what is in store in the years to come in our new house. Also, I posted a sample of the pictures we took this past Friday with Jeanelle Caraway. I love this one and I know I will love all of the others too. Hope y'all are enjoying this spring weather as much as we are. Kaytlin is all about being outside and stands and the door whining "ouside". She would stay out all day if I let her... she LOVES it. I am loving it too.

It's official (and some fun with friends)

Well it's official like I said... our house is now up for sale. This makes me sad and excited. I am having mixed emotions. But I know we are so blessed and I am thankful to the Lord for that. So we'll see what all the Lord has in store for us. Last weekend we went to the lake with our friends Neal, Jerrie Ann and Case. We had so much fun just getting away from town and letting the kids play. So I included a few pictures of the kids playing in their pj's. I wanted to get so many more cute pics but both mine and Jerrie Ann's cameras died. They were so cute sitting on this little ledge together and I couldn't take the picture. Oh well... there will be many more cute moments to capture with the two of them I'm sure. Well I'm glad it's Friday and the house is finally up for sale because we have been working our tails off getting it ready. Hopefully we can rest some this weekend. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Our house up for sale now!

Wishing we would stop taking pictures of them!

Where does the time go???

Sorry the pics are above the post, but I added them last and couldn't figure out how to get them at the bottom or get my post at the top. I'm still not too great at this blogging stuff. haha.

Kaytlin at the Play Place... posing for Mommy!

This is a new favorite thing... to put our shoes on her hands and
carry them around!

Kaytlin in one of her favorite spots!!

Love this picture!! This is what she does at my parent's...
She loves to go straight to the pantry and get our her Cheerios
and carry them around!

Well our little Kaytlin is almost 16 months old!!! I can't believe it. She is getting so big.... and way too fast. She is talking up a storm. She says dog, juice, out (for outside), mama, dada, nana, and open (to open the door).... and so many more. She definitely is so aware of everything around her. She will go get a book or get on her truck when I ask. I am just loving this stage. It's so fun to watch her learn even the smallest thing and explore everything. I am putting up a few pictures from the last few weeks to show all the new things she's in to!
On another note, I think we are putting our house on the market this weekend. We've been cleaning out, etc to get ready and I think we are almost there. It is such a scary thing and sad thing for me. This is our first house as a family and where we brought Kaytlin home for the first time. I only want to do this if it's what God has for us. I am praying that he will either totally open the door for us to move by selling it or completely shut it if it's not what He wants. He has blessed us more than we could imagine and we want to honor Him with what He has given us. So the idea of selling our house has been hard for me, but I want to do it if it's what the Lord wants. So pray for us as we start this "fun" process and that the Lord will make it evident what we are to do.

So it's been a little crazy around here lately and will surely be more crazy if we have to pack all up and move, find a rental, and build. But we are still having TONS of fun with Kaytlin and she is always keeping us on our toes!!! Hope you enjoyed the pics above.

Better Late than Never

Well I know this is WAY overdue. I haven't had my card to download all my pics to the computer. Anyway, better late than never right? I've been telling Drew's mom I would post a few pics from Christmas too. So here are a few.... I need to learn how to do a slide show too so I can post more at a time.... I will take help from anyone that knows how. So Christmas was so much fun with a 13 month old. She loved the toys Santa brought which wasn't a ton cuz she just had a birthday a month before. So she didn't need much at all. She still loves her horse a ton and is still trying to figure Elmo out. I also included a picture with Santa. I will post more this afternoon of some more recent pics since she is now almost 16 months old and doing so much more.

Kaytlin on her new horse from Santa!!! She loves it!!!

She wasn't quite sure about Santa this year. Look at that face.
He looks like he has a death grip on her

Excuse the way me and Drew look but I wanted a family
picture at Christmas

Kaytlin woke up like 5 on Christmas morning... so excited I guess. haha
But we put her in bed with us then had to wake her up like 8:30. She was
snoozing away here in our bed. She looked so peaceful!!!

It's been a while!!!

Well, it's been a few weeks since I last posted. With all the craziness of Christmas time and just recovering afterwards I just haven't had time to sit down and write. I promise I will post Christmas pictures very soon. Hopefully in the next day or two. I have just a minute before Kaytlin should be getting up from a nap so I figured I would go ahead and write. Kaytlin is now 14 months old and into everything. She almost runs now instead of walking which is hilarious. She is getting her second molar in right now and it has not been fun at all. Just as the other one finally came in good then we started up on the other one. Now she has a runny nose along with it and is just wanting to be held. But I do love to just sit and snuggle with her when she wants to be held. I think about two weeks ago we had a small scare (at least for me). I was getting ready to go the the doctor and Kaytlin was playing in the bathroom and I all the sudden heard this sucking noise. K had grabbed the sponge that I had been cleaning the tub out with Comet and was going to town. So of course I freaked and called the dr and they sent me on to poison control. I didn't think she had much, but you can never be too careful. So they just advised me to give her plenty of water. She acted totally fine the whole day, but I felt horrible and was freaking out a little to say the least. I'm sure we'll have many more of those scares, hopefully only as small as this one. Well there's the Kaytlin update.

On another note, Drew and I are trying to lose weight. We've been trying to work out and eat better. This is all much easier said than done. We just love to eat!!! But I think Drew has lost at least 5 and I've lost about 4 now. So we're getting there. Slowly but surely. Be looking soon for some Christmas pictures and we'll try to post a video too for all you family who want to see!
