It's been a while!!!

Well, it's been a few weeks since I last posted. With all the craziness of Christmas time and just recovering afterwards I just haven't had time to sit down and write. I promise I will post Christmas pictures very soon. Hopefully in the next day or two. I have just a minute before Kaytlin should be getting up from a nap so I figured I would go ahead and write. Kaytlin is now 14 months old and into everything. She almost runs now instead of walking which is hilarious. She is getting her second molar in right now and it has not been fun at all. Just as the other one finally came in good then we started up on the other one. Now she has a runny nose along with it and is just wanting to be held. But I do love to just sit and snuggle with her when she wants to be held. I think about two weeks ago we had a small scare (at least for me). I was getting ready to go the the doctor and Kaytlin was playing in the bathroom and I all the sudden heard this sucking noise. K had grabbed the sponge that I had been cleaning the tub out with Comet and was going to town. So of course I freaked and called the dr and they sent me on to poison control. I didn't think she had much, but you can never be too careful. So they just advised me to give her plenty of water. She acted totally fine the whole day, but I felt horrible and was freaking out a little to say the least. I'm sure we'll have many more of those scares, hopefully only as small as this one. Well there's the Kaytlin update.

On another note, Drew and I are trying to lose weight. We've been trying to work out and eat better. This is all much easier said than done. We just love to eat!!! But I think Drew has lost at least 5 and I've lost about 4 now. So we're getting there. Slowly but surely. Be looking soon for some Christmas pictures and we'll try to post a video too for all you family who want to see!

A Redneck Christmas

The Deviney's have a Christmas party every year and for the past two years it has been Redneck themed. Drew and I had to miss last year, but we wouldn't dare miss it again. It was so much fun to see everyone all decked out.... some pulled out all the stops. Our outfits paled in comparison to some. But it was so much fun for everyone. We all sang the 12 Redneck Days of Christmas, the adults played the Newlywed game and then we played dirty Santa with mostly redneck gag gifts. They were hilarious too. Here are a few pictures from last night. Hope you enjoy them as much as we had fun at the party. Thanks Mr. Bruce and Mrs. Terri for an unforgettable night.

Drew and Jonathan... Drew as a MSU fan and Jonathan wearing a shirt for the Pearl zip code... He and Alisa just bought a house in Pearl and everyone likes to give them a hard time. You'll see Alisa below...

Tacky Sweaters and the Stitchin' Girls

Well, my mom is part of a group of ladies who have been getting together for at least 20 years. They call themselves the stitchin' girls. They used to stitch a long time ago but they don't any more. They get together and go out to eat and just fellowship with each other. They are some of my mom's best friends and they have been through everything together. So, this Christmas they decided to invite their daughters and if they didn't have a daughter they brought their daughter in laws. We had dinner and played dirty Santa. It was so much fun and it's so neat to see how they are all still such great friends after all these years. I only hope to have such great friends many years later. Thanks to the stitchin girls for letting us crash your party this year.... although they did have their own party so they could talk about all of us as they usually do. haha.

The whole gang!

Me and mom were trying to take a picture..... but as you can see we got so tickled that this is the best one we got. I love it though.

Clinton Christmas Parade

This past weekend we went to Clinton's Christmas parade. It was a little cold but we all survived. Kaytlin really enjoyed all of the lights and music. She waved to the people on the floats. We also got to see Santa and Mrs. Claus. We watched the parade with our friends and old neighbors Craig, Anna and Brooke. We got to eat with them after too which was goo to catch up since they've been gone from the neighborhood. So it was a fun night and I'm sure we'll be going every year. Here are a few pictures from the parade for you to enjoy.

A Quick Update

Well it's been a while since I posted, but we've been so busy lately. It's not slowing down either with Christmas fastly approaching. Well Kaytlin will be 13 months tomorrow. I can't believe she's getting so big. She is walking everywhere... we've got to post some videos of her going to town. She's so cute to watch. We are so blessed to have her in our lives. We've had Callie over to play today which was fun. Kaytlin had alot of fun playing with her and loves having a friend around. We've had some new pictures done but they are already off of the website of the photographer.... so we'll try to scan some in soon. We are looking forward to Christmas. I know it will be tons of fun for Kaytlin and us. We are thankful to finally have a weekend of nothing to do. We're gonna finish putting up the lights outside and that's about all I have planned. I may actually see if I can get my facial appt for tomorrow and Drew said he would keep Kaytlin so I could. What a great Daddy. I couldn't be more blessed with a better husband and incredible daddy to Kaytlin. Tomorrow night is Clinton's Christmas parade. We may try to take Kaytlin but it will be so cold. I think she'll love it. If so we'll post some pics of that as well!!!

Kaytlin's First Birthday

Well this past Thursday, November 6, was Kaytlin's 1 year old birthday. We can't believe it's already been a year. She is definitely into everything and just took like 4 or 5 steps in a row this past Sunday. We got it on video so we will post that soon too. On Kaytlin's actual birthday we just got a cake from Kroger to celebrate and she was all into it. It was hilarious. Then Saturday we had her big party. She got so many cute toys and clothes. Thanks to everyone who came. We have had so much fun with Kaytlin over the past year and know we will have so many more good memories to come. Here are just a few pics from those two days.

Halloween 2008!!!

Well it's been a while since we've posted. But last week we had our Fall Harvest at church. Kaytlin was dressed up as a pink and black ladybug with wings. She was just adorable. We had fun with our friends Case and Mason too. There was a petting zoo which Kaytlin loved and tons of other things going on that Kaytlin loved too. Here are just a few pictures from her first Halloween.
